High Commissioner of Brunei: H.E. Haji Haris Bin Othman

H.E.  Haji Haris

Bin  Othman

High Commissioner of  Brunei

Education is essential in national development and is one of the main pillars in the development of a country. Education produces bright people and quality human capital, and shapes the future well-being of a person or a family. A country with highly educated people will advance in all aspects, including economic, socia1I, and political.

However, many children do not have access to education for some reason-for example, those children from low-income families or the underprivileged. Therefore, we should be grateful and proud that in Bangladesh, many parties come forward to help children who are less fortunate or less able, like what is done by the MA Samad Chowdhury Foundation.

I am also pleased and thrilled to note that The MA Samad Chowdhury Foundation is conducting numerous initiatives to maintain educational  programs for Bangladesh's most disadvantaged population, including the children of tea plantations and the poor. Initiatives like this are in accord with the recommendations of Islam. In Islam, people who are beneficial to many other people are the most successful in their life.

Therefore, I call on all of us, including myself, to work to make ourselves beneficial to many people regardless of ethnicity, ace, and religion, beneficial to our families and neighbors, helpful to the less able and the poor, and valuable to our nation as a whole.
