M A Samad Chowdhury: A characteristic Inspiration

 M A Samad Chowdhury, born on January 1,1920 in Karimganj, Assam, was a man of exemplary character. His father, Hamid Raja Chowdhury, raised him with strong values and a sense of duty towards society.

Samad Chowdhury was an honest officer of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, but his altruistic heart was a lways drawn to the poor. Despite his limited income, he made every effort to help the backward and helpless people working in tea gardens. He also urged the upper classes of society to support the oppressed.

On April 25,1990, this great man passed away at his home in Chowkidekhi, He was laid to rest in Sylhet's Shahjalal Mazar Graveyard, Sylhet. However, even after all these years, the people of his area still remember him for his outstanding humanitarian work. His children, following in their father's footsteps, continue to work for the betterment of the underprivileged .

Misbah Ahmed, Samad Chowdhury's younger son and a UK expat, performs various types of service work to improve the quality of life for low-income or disadvantaged people. He has even established the M A Samad Chowdhury Foundation in honor of his father. The foundation, established in 2018 with the slogan 'We start with those whose desires are indomitable', is dedicated to the welfare of the poor. Misbah Ahmed Chowdhury is the founder, and Rajib Kumar Roy is the chief executive of the foundation. The foundation's work is carried out by members of the volunteer organization 'Boosters' Sylhet.

The Samad Chowdhury Foundation is making great strides in helping the poor. Their initiatives will continue to make a difference in the future. With the help of the genuine humanity of everyone, the backward people of society will be able to join the mainstream, and deprived children will be able to develop their talents and spread light in the darkness. The foundation has even established the M A Samad Chowdhury Girls Academy, dedicated solely to the education of girls.
